Funded Therapy

At Trauma Recovery we believe it is important to listen to the views of our clients. We use feedback from clients and partners to understand the needs of our community and strive to meet this need. We work with partner organisations to provide therapeutic services in conjunction with them and serve the wider community by securing funding to offer self referral based funded therapy.

Helix Project

Trauma Recovery secured funding in 2023 for our Helix project. The project is currently funded until 31st March 2025.

This project offers open ended trauma focused therapy to children, young people and adults in Hertfordshire who have experienced sexual assault and or rape more than 12 months ago. We are able to extend the support offered to those supporting the person assaulted (i.e. parents, carers, loved ones) who are struggling with the impact of the event themself.

Short Term Trauma Focused Therapy for people in active addiction with a history of traumatic experiences

This is a joint project with CGL. We began working with one CGL hub in Hertfordshire offering 13 sessions of trauma focused therapy.

The project has shown that people in active addiction can both engage in and benefit from trauma focused therapy.

The catchment has expanded to cover the whole of Hertfordshire and funding has been extended for a further 12 months.

We offer the following:

  • 13 sessions of trauma focused therapy to people aged 18 and over who are engaging with CGL in Hertfordshire and have a history of traumatic events.

Referrals to this project are via CGL keyworkers.
